Moody National Bank offers several types of checking accounts designed to meet your individual needs. From the CHEX+ account to Economy Checking, Moody has a product geared for the level of balances or check writing activity your life-style demands.

Century Two Checking

Approaching our second century with an insured free checking account that pays you a premium rate of interest on your hard-earned money.

Rate Information: Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change.
Frequency of Rate Change: We may change the interest rate on your account at any time.
Determination of Rate: At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.
Compounding and Crediting Frequency: Interest will be not be compounded. Interest will be credited to your account every month.
Minimum balance to open the account: You must deposit $25,000.00 to open this account.
Minimum Balance to Avoid Imposition of Fees: A service charge fee of $25.00 will be imposed if the balance in the account falls below $25,000 any day of the term.
Minimum Balance to Obtain the Annual Percentage Yield Disclosed You must maintain a minimum average Daily ledger balance of $25,000 to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. The average daily ledger balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. The period we use is the monthly statement cycle.
Average Collected Balance Computation Method: We use the average collected balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a periodic rate to the average collected balance in the account for the period. The average collected balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. The period we use is the monthly statement cycle.
Accrual of Interest on Noncash Deposits: Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of noncash items (for example, checks).

Century II Money Market

Rate Information: Your interest rate and annual percentage yield can change.
Frequency of Rate Changes: We may change the interest rate on your account at any time.
Determination of Rate: At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.
Compounding and Crediting Frequency: Interest will be compounded and credited to your account monthly.
Minimum balance to open the account: You must deposit $100,000.00 to open this account.
Minimum Balance to Avoid Imposition of Fees: A service charge fee of $25.00 will be imposed if the daily balance in the account falls below $100,000.00 any day of the term. Interest will not be paid if the daily balance in the account falls below $100,000.00 any day of the period.
Minimum Balance to Obtain the Annual Percentage Yield Disclosed: You must maintain a minimum daily balance of $100,000.00 to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. The daily balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. The period we use is the monthly statement cycle.

CHEX+ Checking

A NOW account that works like a regular checking account in addition to paying interest to you as the depositor. It requires higher opening and balance levels that Regular Checking.

Frequency of Rate Change: At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account at any time.
Compounding and Crediting Frequency: Interest will be compounded every month. Interest will be credited to your account every month.
Minimum balance to open the account: You must deposit $1,500.00 to open this account.
Minimum Balance to Avoid Imposition of Fees: A service charge fee of $10.00 will be imposed each monthly statement cycle if the average collected balance for the monthly statement cycle falls below $1,500.00. The average collected balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period.
Average Collected Balance Computation Method: We use the average collected balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a periodic rate to the average collected balance in the account for the period. The average collected balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. The period we use is the monthly statement cycle.
Accrual of Interest on Noncash Deposits: Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of noncash items (for example, checks).
Fees: A per item fee of $.12 will be charged for each debit transaction (withdrawal, check paid, automatic transfer or payment out of this account). This fee will apply if your average collected balance falls below $1,500.00 during the monthly statement cycle.

Moody Advantage Account

A special checking account which earns interest and may be ideal for you if you have more than one deposit account relationship with the bank and would like to have them viewed as one for interest rate and service charge credit advantage.

Frequency of Rate Change: We may change the interest rate on your account at any time.
Determination of Rate At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.
Compounding and Crediting Frequency: Interest will be compounded every month. Interest will be credited to your account every month.
Minimum balance to open the account: You must deposit $2,500.00 total in the combined accounts.
Minimum Balance to Avoid Imposition of Fees: A service charge fee of $15.00 will be imposed every statement cycle unless you maintain a minimum average collected combined balance of $4,000.00 in this account and one other Checking or Savings account during the monthly statement cycle. The average collected balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period.

Regular Checking

Minimum balance to open the account: No minimum deposit to open.
Minimum Balance to Avoid Imposition of Fees: No minimum balance required.
Fees: No monthly service charge. Other fees may apply.

Economy Checking

This is the ideal checking account for people who write only a few checks each month. It requires no minimum opening balance, has a low monthly service charge, and allows 10 checks to be written per month without any clearing charges.

Fees: A service charge fee of $3.00 will be charged each statement cycle. A per item fee of $.50 will be charged for each debit in excess of ten during a statement cycle.
