GALVESTON, TEXAS – Moody Bank proudly announces that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Katherine Rodriguez has been named one of the inaugural honorees for the Houston Business Journal’s 2025 CFO Awards. The accolade recognizes the region’s top financial leaders who exemplify innovation, resilience, and strategic impact.
The Houston Business Journal unveiled 30 honorees on May 27, 2025, as part of its first-ever CFO Awards celebration—paying tribute to the financial executives behind Greater Houston’s most successful companies and organizations.

Katherine Rodriguez joined Moody Bank in 2003 and has served as Chief Financial Officer for the past 16 years. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and an MBA from Sam Houston State University. In addition to her role at Moody Bank, she serves on the Smith–Hutson Endowed Chair of Banking Advisory Board at SHSU and is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs. Rodriguez was named a UHCL Distinguished Alumna in 2024 and holds professional certifications as a CPA, CGMA, and Certified Internal Controls Auditor.
Created in 2025, the CFO Awards recognize 30 outstanding financial leaders across Greater Houston whose strategic thinking, adaptability, and measurable impact have propelled their organizations forward and energized the local business landscape.
