Moody Bank President & CEO Vic Pierson Named Chair of UTMB President’s Cabinet
GALVESTON, TX – Vic Pierson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moody Bank, has been appointed by University of Texas Medical Branch President ad interim Dr. Ben Raimer to serve as Chair of the President’s Cabinet through January 2022. In this role, Pierson will work directly with the UTMB President and the UTMB Development Office to determine and accomplish Cabinet goals. Pierson joined the President’s Cabinet in 2004.
Formed in 1933, the President’s Cabinet is dedicated to helping advance the mission of UTMB. With more than 360 members, the President’s Cabinet has awarded over $6 million in seed grants to more than 155 developing programs.
Pierson has a long history of civic involvement and was recently elected to the Texas Bankers Hall of Fame. He began his career at Moody Bank in 1985 and has served as President since April 2000 and Chief Executive Officer since November 2015.
Founded in 1907, Moody Bank has served generations of Texans and currently has more than $1 billion in assets and 15 locations throughout greater Houston, Galveston and Central Texas.
